- 'The Chain' is a song by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on their 1977 Rumours. It is the only song from the album credited to all five members (Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood).' The Chain' was created from combinations of several previously rejected materials, including solo work by Buckingham, Nicks and Christine McVie.

- Does for Fleetwood Mac what Led Zeppelin's BBC disc did for them-establish them as a band that rose above its genre and became something special. Great three-way guitar action, emotion, the lot. Yes, there are some insipid pop tracks, but mostly it's a lot of dirty guitar, throbbing rhythms and some convincing channeling of Buddy Holly, Elvis.
